Hey Girlie whats up!
I believe youtube is a hit for us naturals because we can search any topic and have either a true to life trial-and-error tutorial or a personal experience on either a product or a method of doing a new thing.Many of us..including myself are complete PRODUCT JUNKIES willing to empty our pockets and fill our shelves with items that are tried and true by other naturals . It shows vast resource for those in transition and those who have been in the game for a while.
Youtube for me is a venue in which I can express my opinion on things verbally and in LIVING COLOR and through words and advice.It became down right addictive for me…so addictive that I no longer have cable.Just basic t.v….i didnt need to pay the extra money for something I wasnt using.I take advantage of the venues here on youtube each and everyday;its a fun and easy way to learn things and I enjoy it.
Im swimming in the beautybykay80 sea of subcribers because your so informative on the products you use and try.You are one of my only subscriptions that have products that you dont actually love.Alot of naturalistas dont give the good the bad and the ugly on their product reviews and I was happy to see that you gave a complete 360 review on products and tutorials;styles and makeup.You show what works for you, how/why it worked and thats it.Period.point.blank!But my favorite thing about your channel is that you never missed and oppourtunity to thank us for being apart of your youtube family.Its always great to know that your appreciated!

I think youtube has become very popular because it has now allowed us to see people’ hair all over the world and let us know that we are not the only ones who have our hair style/type/color and so on. Also it has opened up the ability to learn how to do styles once envied on other people’s heads on our own. Through youtube I have learned that there are a ton of things you can do with natural hair like twists, twist outs, flat twists, yarn braids, etc.
What does it mean to you??
I am in my late teens so I am very wired into technology and I am happy that I can find resources that I need all over the internet and especially on youtube which I am on a lot. It hows me that not only are people embracing technology but that they are using it to provide content that is extremely useful to people around the world.

I follow you because it is intereting for me to see what someone does with hair that is similar to my hair type. I cut my hair about two months ago and I love to see styles that people do on shorter hair. I also love the make up that you have been doing recently also. I love using makeup to enhance my features and it is interesting to see diffrent techniques and differeent types of make up such as how you used the style black collection.

I think one of the reasons is due to the lack of info on natural hair in the print media. I am always disappointed when I see something like ‘natural hair tips’ or ‘natural styles’ on the covers of magazines and then turn to the noted page and there is one picture or a small paragraph on the subject
( I think naturals are also inspired by seeing so many ladies on youtube sharing their natural hair stories.
First of all youtube is free – and there are so many varieties of natural styles and hair types. The people are also ‘real’ unlike some articles there is not a style editor just writing about products that they may have never used – on youtube you can actually see the person using the product and the results. There are also ‘live’ step by step how-to style tutorials – which I love. I’ve also come across several channels that consist of natural hair/health/fashion tips and those are great as well.
For me I’ve been using youtube to get article ideas – like my latesst one on protective styles – http://clutchmagonline.com/beauty/weatherizing-your-hair-with-protective-styles/ – I also had a friend upload a video on how he felt about blk women with natural hair and used that for an article

Now finally on following your blog/channel – I just came across it today (via your natural sunshine page), so I am a new, but so far I think it’s great (and especially great that I came across it in time for a contest – lol).
